Kiambethu Tea Farm is a family-owned tea estate located in Limuru, Kenya. Additionally it was founded in 1910 by AB McDonell, who was one of the first pioneers to plant tea in Kenya. Kiambethu Tea Farm offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the history of tea production in Kenya. And to see the process of tea-making from start to finish. Visitors are then taken on a guided tour of the farm, where they can see the tea plants. Learn about the different types of tea, and watch a demonstration of how tea is harvested and processed.

And the tour also includes a visit to the farm’s colonial-style homestead. Which was built in 1904 and has been preserved in its original state. In addition visitors can see the antique furniture, photographs, and other artifacts that tell the story of the farm’s history.

After the tour, visitors are treated to a delicious meal of traditional Kenyan cuisine, and which is made using fresh ingredients from the farm. Furthermore the meal includes a selection of homemade bread, salads, and hot dishes, as well as tea, of course.
