Sanctuary Olonana Accommodation and charges 

The lodge has 14 spacious tents that are elegantly furnished with a blend of contemporary and traditional African décor. This offers guests a comfortable and luxurious stay in the midst of the wilderness.

The charges for a tent at Sanctuary Olonana vary depending on the time of year and the type of tent selected. The rates typically include full-board accommodation, which covers all meals, drinks, and game drives. Some of the activities such as spa treatments and hot air balloon safaris, may incur additional charges.

The rates for a tent at Sanctuary Olonana start at approximately $650 per person per night during the low season (April to June and November), and can go up to around $1,150 per person per night during the high season (July to October and December to March).

How to get there

  1. By Air: The nearest airport is the Ol Kiombo Airstrip, which is approximately a 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Scheduled flights are available from Nairobi to the Ol Kiombo Airstrip with airlines such as Air Kenya and Safarilink.
  2. By Road: The lodge can also be accessed by road. The Masai Mara is about 280 km from Nairobi, and the drive takes around 5-6 hours. However, it is recommended to hire a 4×4 vehicle with a professional driver to make the journey as comfortable and safe as possible.
