About Kerio Valley National Reserve

Kerio Valley National Reserve is a included location withinside the Kerio Valley, Kenya. A department of the Great Rift Valley. In 1983, someone created the 66 square kilometers (25 sq m) reserve, and the Kenya Wildlife Service manages it.

The remoted Kerio Valley lies among the Cherangani Hills and the Tugen Hills. The Elgeyo Escarpment rises greater than 1,830 meters (6,000 ft) above the valley in places. The valley is 4,000 feet (1,200 m) deep.

Like most covered areas, Kerio Valley National Reserve is an all-year-spherical safari destination. The reserve may be visited from December to February, but during this time it becomes active. During this period, maximum components of the reserve stay dry making it an excellent season for site visitors to have interaction in maximum of the safaris.

How to get there

The Kerio Valley National Park is catered by Eldoret International Airport with scheduled flights from Flights from Kisumu and Lodwar operate seasonally to the airport located approximately 55 km away from the park.

If one hired a rental car from the travel agency in Eldoret would be helpful for local travel. Airport travel and to reach tourist destinations.
